West Limerick Vintage Club are always keen to raise funds for charity and provide assistance to various charitable and community projects wherever possible. Some of the events we have been involved with to date are;
On our inaugural event on June 8th 2008 we collected €1000 for St.Ita's Hospice Newcastle West, Co.Limerick. Photographs of the day can be found on our 'Photo Gallery' page. West Limerick Vintage Club were contacted by the HEADWAY Charity www.headway.ie and asked if they could help by providing a vintage vehicle for a photoshoot to promote a charitable event. Of course the club oblidged and delivered a car for the model to pose alongside, photo's of which are available to view below. Click here to view photos.
On our September 7th Vintage Rally, through the generosity of those who attended, we collected €1000 for Milford Hospice. We formally presented the cheque to Sister Phyllis at the Milford Hospice Harvest Fair on September 14th 2008. Click here to view photo
On November 16th 2009 the Club presented a cheque for €1000 to The Daughters of Charity, Lisnagry at the Thatch Bar, Newbridge, Askeaton.This Centre provides residential, day care, education and a variety of other services for children and adults with moderate, severe and profound intellectual disabilities.
